Steps After Steps The Great Wall of China

December 2013, I backpacked around China for a month. Without a doubt, the Great Wall of China, located in Beijing, is def one of the places to go for sure! The wall entrance pick was located at Badaling.

The history of the Great Wall of China goes back as long as 221 BC. It is definitely one of the wonders in the world. Even though the main tourist gates that most travellers visit has been restored and some parts rebuilt, I can guaranty you that most of the wall is legit and original from the Ming dynasty. Def an eye opener!

Two hours is definitely enough to know most of the history about the wall. Most time is mainly spent climbing it. The steps are narrow and uneven so proper shoes are advised. Summer time in China is the main season when travellers go, but winter time is when theres less people, cheaper, and you'll get a more personal experience with the wall.
